This is a small town that has been overrun by zombies. If you remain here, you will quickly become infected. Do you want to survive? Then you need to arm yourself and get out of this town! Being compassionate won't help you here, as the zombies have lost all their basic emotions. Your priority should be to keep your physical strength up and never cease fighting. Combat is your only option! There are a few other survivors in this town. While you may not be a hero, you could benefit from their assistance in your escape. Seek out these survivors and join forces with them to fight side by side.
